This song holds a special place in my heart. The Lord gifted me this song, and He has consistently ministered, guided, and comforted me through its lyrics within the past year. He helps me find ways of expressing my heart in alignment with His Word. I have often found myself in my room or throughout my day, singing this song when I need a reminder to refocus my mind on Him and His Truth. It’s easy for me to get overwhelmed, depressed, or caught up in my emotions, especially when circumstances dictate my mood. However, God has a way of bringing the song’s lyrics back to my mind during those moments. I find myself crying out to Him expressing I’m overwhelmed and He says, “Remember that song we wrote?” And lyrics come to my mind like, “You’re never changing, even when my mind is racing.” Which is based on His Word: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 We all struggle with this, and my prayer is that this song helps others to bring their thoughts back to Jesus when carried away by the cares of this world. That we hold Him above our own thoughts and feelings. “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭5‬ “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬-‭4‬
